Joyce's Jewelry was founded by my mother, Joyce. She's the namesake of the business. Truly, she started selling jewelry out of her purse because people loved her style. She loved to accessorize people and make them feel good about things. >> It started on our dining room table. It was very small, modest, and it kind of grew. And it was all because of Joyce.
>> I sold it out of a brown paper bag. I sold it out of my handbag. And then I went to a briefcase. We built up a relationship and one person told the other and that's how it started.
>> Joyce is just a worker. She never thought of it as a business which is her success. She never felt she was selling. She felt she was helping people. >> When I moved to the first store and I saw my name up on the sign, I just stood there and marveled. I couldn't believe it. This store was my life, but now my
grandchildren are my life. And to be able to pass this down to the third generation is the best thing I could ever have accomplished.
>> Joyce and David built an amazing foundation for us. They were Uniontown's jeweler, but today we get to be the jeweler for anybody located anywhere. Joyce, David, they've created the legacy, but we've been able to carry it on um through Rachel and I and our team.
