TubeTranscript turns YouTube videos into clean, timestamped transcripts that people and AI tools can actually work with. Paste a link and get text you can read, search, quote or hand to an AI assistant, from the web app, a REST API or an MCP server.
It is built and run by Unidata Innovation Technology Ltd, a technology company in Hanoi, Vietnam that builds data products for AI, led by its founder Kenji Saito.
Kenji Saito builds and runs TubeTranscript and writes its tool, guide and comparison pages.
Who it is for
Creators who want to repurpose what they have said, researchers and students who need to find a moment in a long video, and developers who feed video into search, retrieval and agent workflows.
How transcripts are made
When a video has captions, we use them and tidy them into readable, timed paragraphs. When it does not, we transcribe the audio with speech recognition. Each transcript records which route produced it.
The summary and FAQ on a public transcript page are written by an AI model and checked against the transcript: statements that the video does not support are dropped, and a page without them is kept out of search results.
What we do not claim
Transcripts are automatic and can contain mistakes, especially in names, numbers and technical terms, and more so when the audio has to be transcribed. We do not quote an accuracy percentage because we have not measured one we could stand behind. For anything important, check it against the video; every paragraph links to its moment in the original.
TubeTranscript is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by YouTube or Google. Videos belong to their creators, and every transcript page links back to the original.
Public and private transcripts
Transcripts made without an account or on the free plan join a public library and can appear in search engines. Pro transcripts stay private to your team. The Privacy Policy explains this in full, and creators can ask for a transcript to be removed through the copyright and removal process.
