Copyright, Removal & Refund Policy

TubeTranscript, operated by Unidata Innovation Technology Ltd, publishes transcripts of YouTube videos requested by its free and guest users. The videos and what is said in them belong to their creators. This page explains how to get a transcript removed, how we handle copyright notices, and how refunds and cancellations work.
If it is your video
You do not need a formal legal notice to have the transcript of your own video taken down. Email legal@tubetranscript.io with the URL of the transcript page on tubetranscript.io and the URL of the video, from an address that lets us confirm you control the channel, or tell us how else we can confirm it. We will unpublish the page and purge it from our cache. A removed page can take some time to disappear from search engine results, which we do not control.
Copyright infringement notices
legal@tubetranscript.io is the designated address for takedown notices. If you believe material on tubetranscript.io infringes a copyright you own or represent, send a notice to it that includes:
- identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed;
- the exact URL on tubetranscript.io of the material you want removed;
- your name, postal address, telephone number and email address;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner;
- your physical or electronic signature.
We review every notice, and when it is valid we remove or disable access to the material promptly. A notice that leaves out these elements may delay our response. Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing can make you liable for damages.
Counter-notices
If a transcript you requested was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you can send a counter-notice to legal@tubetranscript.io with the URL that was removed, your name and contact details, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification, and your signature. We will pass the counter-notice to the person who sent the original notice, and we may restore the material if they do not tell us they have started legal action.
Repeat infringers
We close the accounts of users who repeatedly request transcripts that are the subject of valid copyright notices.
Other removal requests
For a transcript that exposes personal information, or that you want removed for a reason other than copyright, write to the same address and explain the concern. Requests about your own personal data are covered by the Privacy Policy.
Refund/Cancellation Policy
TubeTranscript Pro is a monthly subscription, billed in advance through Stripe.
- Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from the dashboard. There is no cancellation fee and no minimum term.
- What happens after you cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for. You keep Pro access until then, the subscription does not renew, and the account returns to the free plan.
- Refunds. If Pro is not right for you, you can ask for a refund within 14 days of a charge, provided the quota is largely unused. Email support@tubetranscript.io from the address on the account. Outside this window payments are not refunded, except for a charge made in error or where the law where you live requires it. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method.
- Try before you pay. The free tier gives 10 transcripts every 24 hours without an account (24 with a free account), so you can check that the service works for your videos before subscribing.
- Billing problems. Email support@tubetranscript.io from the address on the account with the date and amount of the charge, and we will look into it.
