in the heart of Nairobi South Sea sits the beautiful mosque Masid at Salam this distinguished by its D minates and unique architecture it anchors its position in the Horizon the mosque which was first established as a metal framework was reconstructed in the year 2016 and officially open on the first day of
Ramadan the year 2017 to what we are seeing today going back to the early 1990s we had only one Masjid that was Masjid n the area was quite small at that time later on there was a lot of development that happened and a lot of Muslims moved into this area where the current parking is for the for M Salam there was a garage where we had aalah for the people living around mugoya and
we used to go pray there the congregation got bigger and uh the was with the owner of the garage decided to have a mosque built and U this was a famously known MTI
temporary we had a neighbor who was a sing guy who used to be right next to the Masid he came he approached us and he told us that uh all those years when the Masid was there he felt very very safe with the Muslims next to him and now that the Masid is gone he was very vulnerable and he he made us an offer to buy his house because he he wanted to move out and we jumped at the
opportunity alhamdulillah this was all by the grace of Allah this is Masid Salam and the name as
Salam is Among Us the name of Allah subhana wa ta'ala and a Salam means peace so anyone that comes in this Masid alhamdulillah he gets peace and tranquility

Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam his member used to be of three levels so basically during the Friday sermon the comes here the Imam stands here almost every day to give lectures and remind people of what they have forgotten about the religion and in their lives the Masjid is parked with various different areas of significant stations
with its interior decorations all adding up to the warm spirituality of the atmosphere this area we have uh two rooms first room mainly is used by the cleaners they put all their cleaning equipment here in this room we put food stuff
water and especially during Ramadan we put dats and anything that and food stuff that mostly used in Ramadan this area we have the ablution area these are basically the toilets where you wash your hands after the you use the these
rooms and then here is the ablution room where we take our our Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam said there is no prayer without ablution so anyone praying without wo without ablution his Salah is not going to be accepted by Allah so this is the is one of the conditions of praying you come here you take
youro so before actually going to the Salah all your sins are Allah subhana wa ta'ala forgives you while you are in this small ablution room these are the shoe rocks for those coming to the Masid they put their shoes here and basically this
is all free the other side we have these that are locked basically it's almost free you pay around uh six shillings for every prayer or five Shillings so five prayers is almost 25 or 30 Shillings and then the money that we get from here it helps our running coost of
the Masid it's something small but it has Baraka on the ground floor of the Masid on the far end of the men's Hall is the janal room a place where dead bodies of the Muslims are brought to be washed dressed prepared before being prayed upon and buried are stipulated in the Islamic teachings
on the first floor of the building is a woman's prayer section d Counseling Center that has a fully furnished counseling room and women's library on the same Flo is dawa Center and zakat Kenya an organization that looks at utilizing the zakat and Saka funds collected from the society to
support the poor and needy Muslim zaka is one of the pillars of Islam and alhamdulillah in this office anything you want to know about zaka or you want to donate or you want to give Saka basically you can visit that office
keep we have two offices inside the Library one office is for dawa Center and mainly they concentrate on doing Daw to the non-muslim and this was the major work of the prophets Allah subhah wa ta'ala he sends the prophets to do da to the non-muslims to call them to
Islam on the second floor of the Masjid are madrasa classes both for women and men old and young with fake Arabic and Quran classes being offered from Mondays to Saturdays and a book club for teenagers every Saturday for both boys
and girls without forgetting the young ones they Salam preschool on the second floor of the Masjid was established in 2017 to support tomorrow leaders but
ministering both the secular and Islamic knowledge in order to have wholesome children in the society unlike any other pres School ABCD is a must concept to be learned here there are also other stations at the M that makes it a truly amazing source of
knowledge the Islam High School being one of them hosts over 70 boys with fully furnished modern classroom labs and diverse teachers then we have third floor in this floor we have uh ass Salam High School the 844 system and the British system igcc and in this uh High School
we concentrate also on Islamic Studies all the thrilling amenities and proximity to the Masid the boys are lucky to be here that means prayers on time Hearts free of stress and worries let's get to hear what the boys have to say about this our school is located inside the Masid and one thing that I really love about this school is that you get our prayers on time and to me as you know praying on jamama you get a lot of
reward so to me that is a great from Allah subhah waala
