six years ago what was my life like I didn't like to sit still I loved hanging out with friends had really solid relationships that was Cameron horer I knew what I wanted to do I you know I really encountered The Lord At this point and uh I wanted to go into Ministry somehow Cameron got accepted into a Bible College and began making plans to attend After High School car was packed I I was ready uh I was ready to go on the way to

college Cameron went to the lake with with his family and friends on the second day of the vacation all his plans changed dove into shallow water hit my head on on the bottom broke my neck and the uh the broken neck went into my spinal cord the bones dead and I was paralyzed Cameron still underwater was unable to swim to the surface he soon began to run out of air I began to really

realize I could die here I couldn't move anything tried to swim up couldn't I just began to pray a miracle occurred under the water when I ran out of breath I kind of gasped a little bit but instead of taking in water it's hard to explain other than just I could I had more air Cameron kept praying and finally one of his friends found him and pulled him to shore calling out to the Lord through the scriptures

calling on his his name all the way back to the shore as my best friend at this point is dragging my lit body as best she can they get me in the ambulance uh um you I'm still thanking the lord for for healing I'm still talking about healing after two intense surgeries and several tests Camin had to face the truth I remember doctors saying uh he's par broken neck and

paralyzed um I remember dad coming over to me his head falls on my chest and he just begins to sob his friends and family asked others to pray soon the miraculous story of him breathing underwater went viral some people even gave their lives to Christ still Cameron had unanswered questions why didn't God heal

him some of the people around me were still encouraging me in that keep going you're going to get healed you're going to be well others were inspired that I was persevering through this thing and not turning from the Lord but I didn't initially like that so much because you know they're saying you and your wheelchair are being used by the Lord in your wheelchair and I knew that

but that wasn't the goal Cameron's goal was to be healed during this time he experienced another kind of loss I think sometimes people are less willing to pursue relationships with people who are broken and sick and in wheelchairs I lost some really close relationships some of it seemed to be because I wasn't getting healed all the

tears shed none of it was about this you know the whole paralyzed thing I never cried about that I didn't deal well with it it was really really hard Cameron continued praying and reading verses about healing he did everything he could to grow in his faith and be healed by God year and a half in two years in you're doing what you know to do to get the healing but the Lord has to break into the situation or else you'll just

keep spinning your wheels it's like I don't have enough Faith or God isn't real that's the logical end of this Faith healing thing isn't happening um or God doesn't love me or God isn't faithful but the reality is that God is very faithful and he's set up in his word the truth and reality about healing he's faithful to his word I just might not understand his word very well one of

his mentors shared with Cameron how Jesus suffered in order to bring glory to God Cameron began to explore what it means to endure the cross Jesus suffered Paul's always talking about suffering and I had seen those scriptures they would weigh on my heart it's like wow that doesn't fit my faith healing thing Peter says set your hope fully on the grace to be given you at the revelation of Jesus Christ where we haven't done

that is where we get sorrow there's sorrow when I set hope in other things like the healing but when I Set My Hope full fully in what God has promised he has promised to come and restore all things if I set my hope fully there I'm going to have joy the healing may or may not happen I may or may not have great relationships but what will happen is Jesus will come back and will give me a resurrected body and I will be out of this wheelchair now Cameron shares his story and what he's

learned with others 3 years ago I'd be looking at myself right now and be like he lost faith for healing he gave up I realized okay I never lost faith is that my faith was redirected I wanted to go into Ministry this way go to school and now the Lord has just thrust me into Ministry a different way through the Avenue of this injury you you

may have the faith to be healed but do you have the faith to continue on when you're not what the Lord's done in me is given me the strength and Faith to to continue on he he did it so tenderly and so so well he turned my heart to it like my desire is to be used by him in this way it's a rejoicing
