You know, it's summer, we're drinking it straight, we're spilling it on the table.

It is what it is. Studio A Fumes, another episode, another date. I'm Fumes the engineer, Studio A Fumes, we're back, another episode.

Today we've got my guy Lou Swan downstairs. We're going to talk to him and see what's going on with music. It looks like he's trying to reinvent himself. He's kind of come out as a new artist, even though most of the drills he knows who he is already, it just looks like he's trying something new. We're going to see how that's working for him and what he's got planned.

He also talks very smokey on FIFA, so we're going to get one of those in today and see what's going on in it. Let me go and get him now. Yeah! So we're here.

My guy Lou Swan, it's been a minute. Can I roll you out here? Yeah man, I'm good. He disappeared. You're back Lou. I was in jail. That wasn't music related, it wasn't music related. Nah man, it wasn't music related. A lot of people got in jail for verses now.

I've been arrested for it before still, but they want nothing to do with this. How does that work? So for me, I'm not allowed to say areas or names, and not allowed to reference to real life occasions, basically. I can't say this happened on this date or this place, you know what I'm saying.

So going to jail, yeah, as a drill rapper, how is it like, do you get a different kind of treatment? Certain people want you to prove yourself or something. Others are just like, yeah, they show you more love basically still. Is it more difficult being a rapper in jail?

It depends how you are in it. If you're a bitch, it's going to be hard. But you know what I mean, there's just extra pressures when certain people touch the wing or whatever. If you're rapping and you're out in the public eye, I'm even an imagineer.

But because there's a lot of rappers in jail, like where I was, there was like five, six rappers that are kind of big, so it was normal basically, like it weren't nothing out of the ordinary. Obviously you took off the ballet, yeah?

And obviously I was watching the YouTube comments and that, and it's coming like, a lot of people are like, it's like you're reinventing yourself, like what was the reason for taking off the ballet? The ballet was only for please basically, like I still wanted to be me at the same time, like without the rap.

Everyone kind of knew anyway from like where the band make snaps and stuff like that. You know you just slip up and then people put your face on YouTube and it just makes more sense to take the ballet off in it. Talk us through how you became loose on your story, where you're at now. I started rapping with the band then when it was 10-11, then rapping for like a year doing the 10-11 thing maybe like a year and a half.

When was that? That was probably like 0-16, 0-17, maybe a bit of 0-18. And then obviously I told you I got nicked for the music and then they put cool orders and that. So we went out to put 10-11 or nothing like that.

I just couldn't really be bothered, I just left my name and just said, you know what, I'm not getting nicked for this again. It's pointless isn't it? No point in keeping getting nicked for doing music. If it's going to be that, then I might as well just stop doing music. The money you're going to make is different, but to me they should just leave you because what else are you going to do?

I think that if you don't become a footballer or a rapper, you're just like, there's not much that's going to happen, isn't it? Selling drugs or doing madness. So if they see you doing music, cool what we're saying is violent, it's negative but positive.

You got what I'm saying? Look, drugs in the fucking charts and that. I'm saying, definitely a way of 100%. You look at it, there's a good five, six rappers close to my age and their lives have 100% changed. And I doubt they have to do anything bad anymore, do you know what I'm saying?

When you started music, did you expect the impact that you had on the scene? I knew the man was hard, so I didn't see why not, but I didn't think the views would be that mad still. Alright, are we saying you're ready to get into music? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I got something for you still. What's that one?

That's for the Off-Wire 2-Year Sweet Store. Just giving it out to the people. What made you do this? I don't know, you know, it's something different, isn't it? I've got to do some different marketing and stuff. Cool, you sent the beat already?

Yeah, I'm going to send it to you now. Alright, you ready now, yeah? Go on. Yeah, that's half the beat.

Alright, cool, let's do it in bits and just break it down and get each part proper, yeah? From the top. I'll keep this here, but let's go all my time, if we can get a bit cleaner still.

Yeah, let's clap back in. Yeah, clap back in. Yeah, yeah. How much longer is this verse though?

This verse is long, you know. Like another 16 of them. And there's a hook for the tune. You can work that out though. Let's finish it and then we'll restructure after. Yeah.

Jump back in again. No, that's it. I might as well just make it a freestyle, alright? Possibly. But I want to hear what the chorus sounds like, what you had though. That's it, store.

They're new to money. Alright, cool, do you want to do the doubles now? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Why do you like doubles so much? Well, it sounds wee, though. 100%. Is that for your jacket for everyone? I don't know what everyone else does in the studio, but I know what I do.

Pattern and fly up patterns, you know that's patterns. Far from average drip, the madness plus we bang it, but you don't think it sounds much better already. Looky, you're smiling because you know. Nah, you know what it is, obviously, I know why you like it. It just makes the voice sound a bit more thick in that, but for me, it makes stuff sound unmixed.

But that's when your mixing skills come into play. Exactly, but... Yeah, I mean, it's preference, isn't it? But when we're finished, we'll go through it. Ad-libs, yeah? Yeah, let's get it. Of course we did. Uh, fling it back. Bow. I'm back. Fuck it.

Mad. Some clowns. Bums. Yeah, we doing ad-libs on the hook? Uh, yeah, we can do store. They're new to money. They're new. Bums. They love it. Facts. Ah, cool. You can come out then. I don't know if you start, if you start already.

We're all about the first two.

I like it. With. With. Yeah. Hi there, everybody. I'm cut out the pass. Big man, man.

Yeah. Lee Royce sounding. He's a top class finisher. Oh, my God. He never loses his head. Why would he? He places it into the corner. Fuck, you know. Great composure. That's what he does. Ever since. He used it. Sterling. Shots on here. And he bangs it away.

He's not going to get away with this, surely. That would be a book. What? What? Straight away. Well, he's got his shot off now. And it's quite a wild, evident goal. He's got good contact on the ball.
