There is no bottleneck in content anymore. Claude can now edit your videos. And this is probably the most exciting thing that I've discovered in the last 10 years, guys. I've been on Claude consistently for the last five, seven days in a row, just drilling it, paused with a bunch of prompts, and I really wanted to make this video. So, I'm going to be taking you through how I edit my videos with Claude Code. Every tool that I've used, every step, the prompts. I'm going to show you some of the prompts, too, exactly what I typed

and exactly how it took it from raw video to a completely edited video. And obviously, what would this be without some [ __ ] examples? I don't want to waste your time. So, as you can see, this raw clip is 4 minutes. It turned it into a real. Yes, I recorded my real horizontally because I tested out reading from a teleprompter. So, I don't know if I'm going to continue with that, but it's interesting because this file is 4 minutes. Let's play it.

I don't even start straight away. >> Don't change anything. >> I I'm even prompting it while I'm recording components, but you only need to use one. And this comes after your hook. And most people are taught to skip straight to the value, but it's the preframe that really makes the information valuable.

Taught to after your hook called the Velcro method. It has four components, but you only need to use one. This comes after your hook. First, the first component is why you, as you can see, there's mistakes, there's pauses, literally everything's messed left in there. 4 minutes and it took it to this.

Here's how to make your video so sticky people forget that they were scrolling. This is called the Velcro method. It has four components, but you only need to use one. This comes after your hook, but most people are taught to skip straight to the value. However, it's the preframe that makes the information more valuable. The first component is why you before anyone listens, they need to know why you're worth living. There's sound effects, there's music, there's motion graphics, there's literally zooms, like subtle zooms. Obviously, I've prompted

it. I literally said to myself, now that this is a skill, like in a human, it will take them maybe an hour, 2 hours, potentially three, depending on your level. And the motion graphics, it's taxing on like an editor's computer.

I've got more examples as well. So, we got this one over here. >> Right. I even messed up straight away. If you're focused and looking for a red car, you will eventually see a red car. If you're not focused and not looking for one, a red car will drive right. As you can see, I mess up loads, but I just record it in one take and then I just give it to Claude. Number four, hit the gym. Yes, it's for your Let me start

from the beginning. I recently turned 26. Here are five things I wish I knew sooner. Number one, you'll only see what you're looking for. If you're focused and looking for a red car, you will eventually see a red car. If you're not focused on a red car and you're not looking for one, a red car will drive right past you without you even know.

It's using my own B-roll. It's analyzed my B-roll, categorized it, and knows exactly when to use it. And fun fact, a lot of the horizontal B-roll, like you know, I've logged in Slog 3 and I told it I've logged in Slog 3. They're uncolor graded, they're not color graded. Can you just flip it back to Rex 709 and potentially add some contrast and increase shadows? cuz I really like that kind of style. You could literally give it a lot and be like, "Tell it to apply this lot." Like, it is insane.

There's music. It's even categorized my music choices. So, if I'm telling a story or something's more emotional, it knows what batch of songs to choose from. And if I don't like it, I can just prompt it. It's like telling a video editor, "Don't do this, do this." But Claude literally does it straight away.

I love editors, by the way. Like I think editors can use this to speed up their workflow, take on more clients, increase how like great their videos are, but an editor has to eat. The editor has to sleep. You could give it a batch of videos before you go to bed. As long as you've got the skill prompted exactly how you want it, you will wake up and your videos are edited. It's insane. I even tested it with a YouTube video. So, this is only the first 3 minutes of the video. But pay attention to the audio

levels. Pay attention to how I mess up everything. If you are a business owner and you're on YouTube to grow your business, this is the video you need to watch. There are five rules. [snorts] I don't know how I feel about this. I messed up. I wasn't sure about the video. Now look at the edited bit.

If you are a business owner and you're on YouTube to grow your business, this is the video you need to watch. There are five new rules for YouTube, especially if you are a business owner. These work now and they will definitely be working in 2027. And if you are to implement this as fast as possible, you will see your YouTube channel grow, but also your business. Now, chances are you'll probably, of course, this is the split. So, I was recording from my iPad and I've recorded my camera. And essentially, I said to Claude, "When I'm

looking at the camera, make me full screen. When I'm looking at the iPad and I'm illustrating, drawing, or reading off of it, make me split screen with the iPad." And that's exactly what it did. And it's funny because I thought to myself, I would have to watch the whole video and look when I'm looking at the screen and then switch it back. That's what an editor would have to do. It was timeconuming. It's tedious. It's boring.

So, you can literally eliminate those parts. You know what I'm trying to say? Anyway, I think that's all the examples. But, as you can see, the raw footage from a short form clip was 4 minutes and 44 seconds. The finished version was 1 minute and 32 seconds. There was around 15 versions before I signed off on this style. But, I am very nitpicky. I you could look at my stuff and be like, "Hey, it looks like AI." But the previous versions, they looked even worse. But now that I've saved it as a skill, I literally gave it a batch of 14

videos and it did those. All I had to do was go through it one more time to give it a prompt on things that I did like, didn't like, or things that I noticed. And I'm very like nitpicky. Just one prompt. I used Whisper Flow on my phone.

Went through like all the videos at once. copied and paste everything that Whisper Flow said like writed it into Claude and that was my revisions and everything was done from there. What we're going to do, we're going to go from step zero all the way to step four.

So 1 2 3 4 the setup, the tools that you need, the process and how you can make it repeatable for yourselves. Part one, this is the setup. First, you need to in install Claude onto your desktop. Install the desktop app. You can just go to claw.com/d download or you can just Google claude desktop app download and basically download it. Once you download it, you're going to be prompted to sign in. It'll take you back to the browser, etc. You are going to have to pay for Claude. Either the pro plan or the max

plan. The pro plan is like $20. The max plan is like starting at $90 or $100 and then you can get like an extra max, which is like 20 extra usage for $200. I'm currently on the $100 plan. my client's trying this at the moment and she's on the $20 plan and she got a very good version and she was like, "Oh, I've only used like 3% of her session limit and like her weekly usage basically wasn't moved." So, we are going to be using the app. And essentially once

you're on the app, you want to switch from chat to code. And right here, you can see chat versus code. Chat is basically co-work. You can ask it questions, it can talk, but if you want to do the editing, you're going to have to be on code. It's the same app. I've got a Mac. I would recommend Macs every single time of the week. But if you got a Windows, that's perfectly fine. You can do it. My client's using it on her Windows computer. Make sure that you have dis space. Which is why I say to

people, if you're buying a Mac, cuz you can't just upgrade your storage on a Mac, right? Make sure you at least get a terabyte. I've got 512. I'm running out. I'm thinking, [ __ ] I'm struggling. And you can move like the files to an external hard drive, but like the code natively is probably going to work faster if it's on the internal hard drive. You want your raw footage in a folder. You want your B-roll in a folder. You could also do this for your clients. Get your clients to upload their B-roll. Messi, whatever. You can get Claw to rename it, tag it, analyze

it, etc. You're going to need the node.js. I'm not a coder. I don't even know what this [ __ ] means. You're going to need the node.js and the ffmpeg. Basically, Claude basically will install this. It will tell you what prompt to run inside of your terminal. You run it, it will install by itself. As I said, you'll need a paid claude pan. You also need an 11 Labs API key. 11 Labs is super cheap. This is for me the the base of the video because if the transcript is really messed up or not accurate, the

edit is going to be messed up. The cuts are going to be slow or weak or you're going to cut off words, etc. And it's only 22 cents per hour of audio. And if I've just done let's say six minutes for simplicity sake it would be like two cents. Hopefully my math is right because I'm not even checking that. And then optional if you got a music folder you can link it to Claude. Sound effects folder link it to Claude. B-au folder link it to Claude. So the tools that you

are going to need Claude code 11 Labs FFmpeg hyperframes the watch skill. This is important because you can have a baseline of whatever, but you can also give Claude the video with the watch skill. You can tell it to watch this video and analyze it. And what I found best is if you tell it to watch the video and analyze it, but also use whisper flow to speak. So, it is faster and better than typing. And it's super

accurate whisper flow. Use whisper flow to speak into your mic or whatever. And explain what you see from the video, what you like from the video, and then you can go from there. And then you can basically tell claw to merge what you say and what it's analyzing and then create you a example. You can ask for a placeholder etc. and it will create it for you. Now optional you can have Mallaloy. It's a motion graphic AI generator tool that's like it's a

software that's on the web. I used it before discovering Claude can actually create motion graphics. Malloy is super sick. It's got bunching templates on there but it is paid. I thought if I could connect that to Clawude, the motion graphics will be even better, but it just didn't turn out that way. I've also got it connected to Premiier Pro.

So, some videos I actually want more control. So, what I'll tell Claw to do is like create everything and then basically put it on a timeline. Again, I don't have a lot of RAM. I've only got 18 GB. I'm definitely going to need to upgrade computer if I'm going to keep doing this on a bigger scale. So, 11 Lambs will hit everything. You just want to create an account, create an API key in your settings, limit the key to just speech to text only, nothing else. If you make this mistake, I think sometimes

it ends up charging you more than what it is, like 22 cents per hour. And then once you're done, tell Claude that you've got the 11 Labs API key and you want to install it. It will tell you where to put it. Do not give your API key to Claude. It will tell you where to put it inside your terminal. Just follow the instructions. And if you really get stuck, tell Claude to open the terminal for you. like literally everything. Then you got Hyperframes. Hyperframes will turn the web pages into a video. It's free. This is free. You basically just

go on Google, type in hyperframes, GitHub skill or whatever and install it. You can press like right here the code. You can press that and there should be a link that you can copy. You can paste that into claw code and just tell it to install and then it will basically install hyperframes. And there's also a connector which you can install hyperframes with. So you can just, you know, natively connect it. And then we have the installs. So essentially what you want to do is basically just copy and paste all of this into your

terminal. Claude will tell you what's missing anyway, right? So one is going to be for Mac. If you're on Windows, it's going to tell you something else, but you're going to want to install this. You're also going to want to install this. You're also going to want to have your 11 Labs API key, but also connect Clawude to 11 Labs via the MCP.

Frequently asked questions

It serves as the base of the video because it provides accurate transcriptions, which ensures the cuts are clean and do not cut off words.

You can package the branding, style, and workflow into a plain English skill in Claude so it can read it and repeat the process for new video clips.
